Dhevaksha Naidoo

This March its all about creative expression .

Embodying the divine feminine? Yes, and with greater awareness and deeper appreciation of the divine masculine and divine child in the creative process.

When embodied fully - creativity isn't a curse but a cure. It can bring  wellbeing for mind, body, and spirit.
We will explore 6 virtual retreat spaces...

YOGA TO EMBODY THE DIVINE FEMME

Enjoy a 30 minute yoga class with Pamela Vicentin in her beautiful nature studio in Argentina

Description of yoga class:

About your teacher: Pamela is an established and experienced Yoga and Meditation teacher with over a decade of training and teaching behind her. She is the Coordinator and Teacher at the Art of Living Sri Sri School of Yoga teacher training in Central America and has lived and taught yoga all over Central and South America. She has also lived for many years at the Ashram of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in Bangalore, India, where she deepened her practice and knowledge of yoga as well as offering service and supporting the Art of Living community. Pamela is also a designer by profession and has an exceptional eye for yoga fashion and design! I still recall her beautiful gold motif sarees and resort linen pants from our days spent together. I know in my heart that you will learn and be inspired in many ways by her. Pamela's knowledge, sincerity, and warm personality is felt long before you meet her.

THE ART OF BUDDA BOWLS

Make your own buddha bowl with Dhevaksha from the organic produce market to her home retreat kitchen

Named for its big, round Buddha belly shape, a “Buddha bowl” can mean different things to different people, but let's define it here as a one-dish meal consisting of rice or whole grains, roasted veggies, a dressing and protein (by way of beans, tofu, lentils, or in some cases meat or fish). You might be thinking, "It's just a meal in a bowl—what's the big deal?" Actually, there's a lot more to a Buddha bowl than the fact that it's gorgeous. Here's why (and how) you should be making them at home. It’s considered clean eating and it incorporates principles of Chinese and Japanese medicine. Popular among vegans, the Buddha bowl is considered an ideal way to eat and is credited with the potential for lowering the risk of chronic diseases. Now that you’re in the know, here are some tips on how to prepare the best Buddha bowl at home.

Start with grains, add the veggies, complement with protein, drizzle your homemade dressing  and optional: sprinkle with seeds, add superfoods or edible flowers!

MEDITATION FOR CREATIVE INTIUITION

Join Dhevaksha for a guided meditation to connect more deeply with your creative intuition

Intuition is the ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning. Meditation can declutter the mind and create a state of mind where this innate skill is developed and strengthened. Thus, intuition meditation practices help to empower the inner genius. Intuition is one of humankind’s most important skills. When you tap into your intuition, you can hear the deepest wisdom from within your own mind. Your intuition will empower you to let go, to trust yourself, and to make the most of the power of your subconscious mind. In The Synthesis of Yoga, Indian philosopher Sri Aurobindo states that intuition is the ability to know something without conscious reasoning. And in A Popular Dictionary of Buddhism, Christmas Humphreys states that intuition resides between the universal mind and the individual mind. You have to quieten your individual mind so it connects with the universal mind. Then you will hear your intuition. In Man, Myth and Magic – Volume 19, Richard Cavendish states that the third eye is the key to perception beyond sight.

Angie

Dhevaksha showed us how we can all overcome challenges, even if we think it is an impossible task and that with the right support, life can become joyful and healthy again.  She made us laugh and cry and somehow we all left the room on a high – knowing that it is so important not to give in but to find the right place of wellbeing that works for you.  The next morning, we found ourselves sitting together on the balcony looking at the stunning vista and contemplating life.  For a young woman, Dhevaksha has such a deep and caring insight into people’s wellbeing.  To open up to her felt so comfortable and easy.” —Angie, Elysia Retreat Guest

Stephanie

My experience with Dhe’s inspiring wellness retreat is one that will never be forgotten. I had an amazing time surrounded by my close friends as we shared and created memories to last a lifetime. It was a truly humbling experience to be surrounded by amazing women, (and Vieran, of course!), who have had so many hardships in their life, but who have triumphed despite the battles they may face. It was a truly relaxing day, where I felt more at ease and comfortable. I really enjoyed the physical exercises we began with, as well as the laughing yoga. The food was on another level of amazingness, and it was so cool that we got to make our own chocolate! (I truly did enjoy every single aspect of the retreat, but I’m probably rambling here!). But overall, it was you Dhe, that made this retreat so amazing. I hope you continue to flourish and inspire more people along your journey. —Stephanie, Wellness Retreat Participant

I had the joy of partaking in the Winter retreat with Dhe and two close friends. Dhe facilitated a beautiful day during which we were able to strengthen our friendships, learn together, and be nourished with delicious food. The retreat space by the beach was so relaxing, and the day covered a holistic range of activities that left me feeling revitalised. Spending the day with Dhe was so special and she her genuine passion to help others is so evident.  She has a real gift for communicating and connecting with others, and she has been very generous with her knowledge. Thank you so much Dhe for a wonderful experience! —Grace, Wellness Retreat Participants

Belinda

Thank you so much for the retreat it was really beautiful, blissful. I found it peaceful, educational and spiritually enriching. I found the laughing meditation really powerful and stirred something deep in me.

I really enjoyed when you explained the four aspects of what people seek in spiritual and relaxation retreats. Thank you so much again it was magical and fun where I felt so open and safe — Belinda, Wellness Retreat Participant
